Businesses are their to make money and Estate agents are no different often taking up to 6 percent of the amount of the total sale that can add upto a huge bill for doing very little. When a home is sold, as in, house for sale by owner, you can frequently negotiate a lower price because there are no real estate commissions to be taken from the sale. </p>
<p>Homeowners are beginning to realize that they have the power to sell their own property and keep more money in their hands. When thinking about selling your own home you have to ask yourself some focused questions, and not get fixated with the home you have lived in for however long.</p>
<p>Ask yourself if you were a buyer, would you buy a house that you did not get a feel for or connect with to develop a life within. If your answer is no, then you might have to look at what you could do to your home to make it more presentable to prospective buyers. Clean and polish all surfaces that might collect dust. Move and store away any personal items that detract from the overall look. Clean the windows inside and out to bring in more light. Cleaning and preparing your house for a home visit is only a part of your work. Some prospective buyers like to drive past, and rely on that initial impression. </p>
<p>It seems crazy to me that we are so willing to give away our hard earned money to people that don?t do that much work, and whom we could quite easily mimic the results just by using the internet. Think to yourself I can sell my house online all I need to do is put in a bit of work and the internet can then place my home in every house with a computer that is looking for a new place to live. All of this you can do yourself in a weekend. ?20,000 or a couple of days work????? I know which selection I prefer, are you aware that you can do it yourself, just search the web and make an informed decision.
