Aggressive Dog Behavior: Why Your Dog Is Behaving Badly
Often, aggressive dog behavior is caused by unreleased excess energy. Just because they’re dogs doesn’t mean they don’t need to exercise. Unbeknown to many well-meaning dog owners, dogs are pack creatures with boundless energy meant for hunting and running vast expanses along with the pack. While over the years, several canine breeds have been domesticated, these creatures still need to move, run, and release their energy and to channel any aggressive dog behavior or dog behavior problems in a healthy and positive way. In the modern urban jungle, what better way to do this than to exercise?
Small dogs need to exercise at least 30 minutes everyday. 30 minutes of regular-paced walking in the morning or in the evening is enough to keep your dog healthy and free from dog behavior problems.
Provide your dogs with chew toys to keep them from chewing on furniture, books, carpets, old socks and shoes. Learn to desensitize your dog. The sooner you train them to behave properly, the better.
Correcting dog behavior problems may not always come easy for most busy dog owners. Fortunately there are several dog training programs out there aimed at correcting aggressive dog behavior. Ultimately, though, it is up to you as the responsible dog owner to make the first step in keeping you and your best friend in a loving and harmonious relationship. And when your dog behavior problems have been dealt with, you will discover that keeping, training and loving a dog will be worth all the necessary hassle.
Tattoo Removal
A tattoo is meant to be permanent. Unfortunately, what a person might want today may not be what he or she wants two or twenty years from now. Both the procedure of and cost of getting a tattoo are relatively minor in comparison to having it removed at a later date. It may be wise to consider these facts before visiting your local tattoo artist with design and cash in hand.
Two of the most commonly used methods of tattoo removal are also two of the most unsatisfactory. The first method involves removing a piece of skin from a less-noticeable part of your body, and grafting it on top of the tattoo. This odd form of “plastic surgery” covers up the tattoo, but generally leaves scar tissue, as the skin is not in its normal state. Another popular method is to simply go to a tattoo artist and have another design tattooed on top of the unwanted one. With this method, the black outline from the original tattoo will be noticeable through the new one; the larger the original, and the more black ink it has, the more difficult it will be to cover it.
A surgical method which is equally if not more unsatisfactory is called dermabrasion. In layman’s terms, you can think of it as going at your skin with sandpaper. Even when this method is performed by a licensed physician, you will likely decide that the resulting scar is worse than the original tattoo. The reason for the scarring is that removing a tattoo by this method means going through the tattoo and the underlying skin. The scarring left by this method will leave that portion of your skin a much lighter color and a different texture than the surrounding skin. Of all tattoo removal methods currently in practice, dermabrasion is the method which will leave the most noticeable scarring.
Please be advised that you should always consult a doctor before taking any medical advice.
Using Residential Solar Power “On” or “Off” The Grid
When we refer to solar energy for home use, we are differentiating it from the solar power used by commercial enterprises or the electricity derived from solar power which can be purchased by customers. When considering solar energy for home use, the two types are “off grid” or “grid tied”, which is also referred to as net metering.
Off Grid
The first type of residential solar power or off grid is something that is not in any way connected to the grid, and is actually separate from the electric utility system. For this kind of solar energy, power lines do not run to a house but batteries are needed for back-up power storage to cover those hours when there is no sunlight. In the daytime however, the photovoltaic array can store the excess energy in the batteries which is then turned into electricity and given off into the system through the batteries.
In the off grid type of residential solar power systems, there is also need to have a generator which is useful when there is no sunshine as it helps in charging up the batteries rather than use the power from the sun.
Grid Tied
The second kind of solar energy is a net metering system or grid tied, and this type will have power lines connected to a utility company’s electrical system and it does not require batteries for storage. The presence of sunlight causes the electricity meter to spin backwards until darkness descends; and, then, the meter will spin in the forward direction because of a need to fulfill solar energy requirements. This form of residential solar power is administered in a manner quite different from one electric utility company to another with each using its own set of rules and regulations.
There is a lot to recommend using residential solar power in either form since it is a means to get energy that is not only long term, but which is also renewable, and with it, you don’t have to depend any longer on your utility company, and you are also not dependent on foreign governments, and best of all, you don’t need to pay for it. There no doubts that residential solar power is the way to go.
